EmCadeamentos – Association for the Promotion of Historical-Cultural Heritage is a non-profit organization, formally applied by its three founders, Ricardo Macedo, Neusa Cunha and Lara Cunha, on April 9, 2015. Based in Espinho, Portugal, it performs as its activities at national and international level.
The association was created in order to disseminate and enhance the historical and cultural heritage, consult material consultation material, in a careful, credible and sustainable way. To this end, all contents promoted by EmCadeamentos have a theoretical and practical basis, procedures in terms of experimental research, investigation and archeology experienced internally in the association by its employees, who provide different areas of knowledge.
Since 2016, EmCadeamentos has been part of EXARC, a worldwide organization affiliated with ICOM and representing the open-air museum, archaeological spaces, experimental archeology, technology of the past and its interpretation.
In EmCadeamentos, we have a regular daily activity since its establishment, hidden more visible in actions to boost heritage (temporary exhibitions, educational presentations, live history and historical recreations, among others) and non-formal education (targeted and adapted)for different age groups, from children to adults).
The association has an inclusive policy, that is, it is accessible to all types of public, adapting to its activities when necessary, and promotes interculturality, offering its activities in different languages, both in national territory and in abroad international activities it has carried out in the entities and institutions with which it has a partnership.
For these and other reasons, an EmCadeamentos is for everyone!
